Being Me-Self !

Another moment of clarity:

The reason I'm put off by the current wave of Political Correctness is that it inhibits being oneself: it seeks to bridle any realistic thought about an issue and, in its place, make a generalized nambie-pambie statement or convey a sentimental environment in which no one is offended.

I have opinions (some very strongly held). And, while I do not shout them from the rooftops, or splash them all over online message boards, I refuse to be bridled regarding those opinions because some dolt, be they foreign or domestic, would feign offence or seek damages against me due to the "suffering' that same might 'inflict'!.

As an acquaintance of mine often remarks:
"F*CK the BEGRUDGERS !!"
